Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise network security posture across multisite, classified environments supporting mission-critical operations. You'll partner with engineering and operations teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations.

Responsibilities
- Plan, deploy, integrate, and test network security upgrades across classified networks.
- Serve as primary cybersecurity point of contact for stakeholders, agile teams, and customers.
- Advise on security design and architecture; develop department-level security procedures.
- Author and present risk management documentation (POAMs, risk acceptance, compliance reports).
- Define and enforce security standards (e.g., STIGs, NIST controls); generate KPIs and metrics.
- Automate security processes using scripting and tooling to streamline compliance.
- Train and mentor engineering staff on security best practices.
- Remediate cybersecurity directives (CTOs, IAVAs, BODs, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree + 9 years, or advanced degree + 7 years of relevant experience.
- Active U.S. Secret Clearance.
- IAT Level II (8570) certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, CND, GICSP).
- Deep understanding of networking fundamentals (OSI model, TCP/IP, VLANs, routers, switches, firewalls).
- Hands-on experience with security automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, Java).
- Expert in security design, testing, and accreditation (STIG compliance).
- Familiarity with VMware NSX, SD-WAN, Juniper JUNOS or similar SDN technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient with Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to alternate secure sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- IAT Level III (8570) certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Experience with container security, artifact management, and RHEL environments.
- Prior experience in DoD or defense contractor settings.
- Proven track record of developing and tracking security metrics (SPIs).
