Primary Responsibilities.
As the recognized PACAF Intelligence JWICS Network subject matter expert, you'll be at the forefront of providing command-wide technical support, advice, and innovative solutions for the design, installation, modification, testing, evaluation, monitoring, and servicing of critical warfighting networks. Your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting hardware/software maintenance on both networked and non-networked intelligence systems.
• Resolving network-related issues by coordinating with commercial vendors, government-supported organizations, and other contractor staff.
• Managing data transfer protocols using Cisco, Brocade, and SolarWinds network hardware tools and platforms.
• Designing and implementing solutions to maximize network performance across multiple operating systems.
• Researching and developing innovative solutions while implementing industry best standards across diverse geographical locations (US and International).
• Maintaining key supporting services such as Cisco Secure Access Control Systems (ACS), SolarWinds Orion Network Monitoring, and General Dynamics Encryptor Manager (GEMX).
• Programming Cisco and Brocade Routers, Switches, Switched Fabrics, and Load Balancers.
• Providing project management, network management, and expert knowledge in systems interoperability and C4ISR applications integration.
Basic Qualifications.
• Experience & Education: 12+ years of experience in C5ISR IT/Engineering activities and maintaining classified networks. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred (additional 4 years' experience and certifications accepted in lieu of degree).
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI Clearance required on day one.
• US Citizenship required
• Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, or BCNE Current Certification; DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II (preferably Security +).
• Technical Proficiency: Thorough knowledge of Cisco and Brocade network hardware platforms; experience configuring network devices.
• Supporting Services Knowledge: Familiarity with Cisco Secure Access Control Systems (ACS), SolarWinds Orion Network Monitoring, and General Dynamics Encryptor Manager (GEMX).
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Customer Service & Project Management: Strong customer service orientation and demonstrated project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications.
• Industry certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, NetApp, and VMware.
• Experience with USAF Intelligence-related client software.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, DRA, Active Directory, SharePoint, and Visio.
• Knowledge of OSI layers for troubleshooting and installations.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience programming Cisco and Brocade Routers, Switches, Switched Fabrics, and Load Balancers.
• Understanding of virtualization environments covering disaster recovery, network analysis, and fault isolation.
• Familiarity with industry-recognized configuration models such as CMM and/or ISO and experience implementing Information Security practices in a Department of Defense environment.
