Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management Analyst Support Specialist to oversee configuration control, manage documentation databases, and track engineering changes at the US Navy Engineering Test Site. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in configuration management, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access, and a strong ability to collaborate in a high-involvement team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site configuration management support within core NSWCPD hours (0900-1430).
- Utilize configuration tools and best practices to track hardware, software, and process changes.
- Maintain and manage the Configuration Management Document Database.
- Oversee and update the Document Index Tracker.
- Track Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Test Site Work Orders (TSWOs), Temporary Standing Orders (TSOs), and other key changes.
- Attend management-level meetings, track action items, record minutes, and prepare documentation.
- Provide change management and product configuration guidance.
- Interface with Engineers and Test Groups regarding documentation updates and technical configuration changes.
- Ensure compliance with Navy inventory and supply support procedures.
- Utilize COTS tools for data maintenance and management tracking (Material History Reports).
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
- US Citizen and ability to qualify for DoD Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related Military experience .
- 5+ years of professional experience in configuration management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to implement engineering feedback, follow work instructions, and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Navy inventory and supply support processes.
- Experience in product lifecycle management and engineering documentation.
