RIS I is the delivery of regional IT services to the end user. We offer support of end user devices including desktop, workplace peripherals, and voice and video devices. We support local and campus area networks, including wireless and cable plant.
AT&T has an opening for a System Engineer: To apply expert knowledge to analyze and troubleshoot complex IT hardware systems, including hardware design, architecture, and network design. This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)
Required Qualifications: Ten (10) years of experience system analyzing complex hardware systems for IT solutions is required. Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. (NOTE: Experience maybe substituted for degree. Five (5) years of additional hardware engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree).

Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive IT systems maintenance support, encompassing both preventative measures and remedial actions to ensure optimal functionality.
- Overseeing the deployment, installation, and implementation of hardware systems, while ensuring seamless integration and operation.
- Preparing detailed hardware specifications by thoroughly analyzing both documented and derived system requirements.
- Configuring computers, network devices, and peripheral equipment, and meticulously documenting the configurations for reference and troubleshooting.
- Preparing comprehensive site installation and test reports to document the deployment process and ensure quality assurance.
- Providing critical input on hardware components for system design, including end-user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices, and specialized processors.
- Assisting the Technical Operations Manager by preparing recurring operational reports.
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of Technical Insertions documentation.
- Coordinating activities aimed at service improvement, including people, processes, and technologies.
- Research OEM and other vendor products and make recommendations to stakeholders.
