If you thrive in complex RF environments and want your work to directly support national defense, this Systems Engineer 4 role in Huntsville, AL may be a great fit. We’re seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead RF communications systems with Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA). In this role, you will: Perform technical planning, system integration, verification/validation, cost/risk, and supportability analyses for complex RF systems Convert customer/product requirements into total system solutions within technical, schedule, and cost constraints Execute functional and timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition Design complex RF communications hardware/software and work with RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators) Read and interpret specifications, schematics, and block diagrams Work in an Agile environment using DOORS and Atlassian tools Basic: STEM Bachelor’s + 8 yrs, Master’s + 6 yrs, or PhD + 4 yrs; AESA and complex RF systems experience; RF test equipment experience; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance Preferred: Experience with MIL-STD-810/EQT, EMI (MIL-STD-461), E3 (MIL-STD-464), HEMP (MIL-STD-188-125), ESS (MIL-HDBK-344), hardware assembly/cabling drawings; strong leadership, collaboration, and initiative.
