Northrop Grumman is seeking a Level 6 Sr. Staff-SMT Technical Lead Bechtel Subcontract Engineer opportunity located in beautiful Roy, UT (Construction, Controlling Technical Baseline, and DOD Supplier Support

Will serve as the primary engineering liaison for the program, partnering with Program Element and Segment Executives, Global Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, the Office of the Chief Engineer, and a cross‑functional team of systems engineers to oversee major supplier efforts with a focus on technical excellence. Your duties include developing Bechtel Statements of Work in collaboration with key stakeholders, generating technical content for RFIs/RFPs, evaluating proposals and supporting negotiations, reviewing and approving subcontractor deliverables, aligning technical objectives with cost and schedule constraints, establishing and tracking technical goals, managing execution risks through performance metrics, and maintaining the SMT technical action‑item tracker to ensure clear communication and accountability.

Qualifications (concise):

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s in STEM + 14 yr experience or Master’s in STEM + 12 yr experience or PhD + 10 yr experience.
Security: U.S. citizen with active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance — investigated with the last 6 yrs or in Continuous Evaluation; able to obtain/maintain Top‑Secret and Special Program Access (SAP/PAR).
Construction Management: 2 yr overseeing full construction lifecycle (quality, safety, compliance, regulations).
Systems Engineering: 4 yr applying the “V” model across acquisition phases from requirements through acceptance testing.
Technical Baseline Management: 4 yr establishing and controlling a technical baseline.
Supplier Support Experience: 4 yr with aerospace/electronics, communications, or payload suppliers.
Requirements Flow‑down: 2 yr ensuring changes/flow‑downs to subcontractors meet Change Board and Global Supply Chain procedures.
Tools Proficiency: 1 yr using DOORS, CPLM, or similar configuration/requirements management tools.
