Engineer II – Systems Engineer (Radar) | Cleared Position We are seeking a Systems Engineer II to support the development, integration, and performance analysis of advanced tactical radar systems supporting national defense missions. This role works with cross-functional engineering teams to design, test, and optimize complex radar capabilities. Responsibilities • Develop system and radar software requirements, system interfaces, and concepts of operations (CONOPS) • Support radar processing algorithm development and analyze radar performance data using statistical and numerical methods • Develop analysis tools to support troubleshooting, system evaluation, and performance assessment • Create and execute test plans, integration procedures, and verification documentation in simulated and operational environments • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system integration issues through data analysis and debugging • Support modeling and simulation to predict and validate system performance • Integrate hardware and software components into operational radar systems • Collaborate with systems, software, and test engineers to improve performance and resolve issues • Present technical findings and support mission activities at RTX facilities, test sites, vendor locations, and customer sites (up to 20% travel) Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) • 2+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering, systems integration, hardware/software systems, or system testing • Experience with C++, Python, MATLAB, or similar programming languages • Ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams Security Clearance: Active or ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance required.
