Role: Sr. ISSO Location: Annapolis Junction, MD, USA Job Type: Full-Time | Shift: Day Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead security oversight for large, complex software development and systems integration environments. This role partners closely with cybersecurity teams, engineers, and program leadership to protect mission-critical systems, ensure compliance, and strengthen security architecture. The ISSO will guide secure development practices, assess and remediate risks, monitor vulnerabilities, support incident response, and maintain system security posture across multiple technical domains. Security Clearance U.S. Citizenship required. Active TS/SCI with polygraph is mandatory. Responsibilities Implement and enforce information systems security policies and best practices Manage IAVA remediation and reporting Develop and maintain system security documentation (SSPs, C&A artifacts) Maintain operational security posture for assigned systems Conduct security evaluations and compliance assessments Analyze cyber threats and support incident detection and remediation Manage security-related configuration changes Support deployment of security solutions in multi-classification environments Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms Required Experience 10+ years of ISSO experience supporting secure systems 5+ years developing and maintaining SSPs and security documentation 5+ years administering IAVA management tools Required Skills Strong experience with security tools, encryption, and secure architectures Proven ability to enforce security policies on large-scale programs Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field 12+ years of relevant experience DoD 8570 Compliance: IAT Level II (or higher) IAM Level II (or higher)
