Hello, I’m reaching out regarding a Joint Advanced Fires Senior Academic Instructor/Team Lead opportunity supporting the 705th Training Squadron under the 505th Command and Control Wing at Hurlburt Field, FL. This is a funded, full-time, on-site position requiring an active Top Secret/SCI clearance. ACT1 Federal supports advanced academics for the Joint Advanced Fires Qualification Course (JAFQC), preparing joint force personnel for Combatant Command Joint Fires Elements. This role serves as primary instructional faculty and evaluator while leading a team in delivering high-level operational C2 and joint fires training. Key Highlights: Serve as JAFQC Instructor/Evaluator and Team Lead Lead lesson development, delivery, and student performance evaluation Develop grading metrics and evaluation standards for practical and full mission training Support Tier 1 joint force exercises as Observer/Trainer or role player Contribute operational-level fires and effects planning expertise Requirements: Active TS/SCI eligibility Master’s degree (PME included) 15+ years commissioned officer experience Recent (within 6 years) joint headquarters experience in roles such as JFE Chief/Deputy, J35 (Future Plans), Fires & Effects Lead, Strike Cell Director, JA/GIC Director (Deputy), or equivalent Joint Qualified Officer designation Experience in operational-level joint targeting and effects planning Ability to travel (approx. 25%) – valid U.S. passport required If you or someone in your network has the operational fires background and instructional experience to shape the next generation of Joint Fires leaders, I’d welcome a conversation.
