Position – REMOTE Database Administrator (DBA) SECRET CLEARED
Location – Remote (Candidates must live/work in the DMV area)
Pay Rate – $110,000 - $124,000
Contract – 5 ½ Years LONG TERM
**Must have at least a Secret Clearance
Mindbank Consulting Group has an immediate need for a Database Administrator (DBA).
Database Administrator (DBA) Responsibilities:
· Responsible for database administration, maintenance, performance tuning, and security management.
Establish and enforce database security standards and best practices.
Develop and guide data migration strategies for large-scale applications and enterprise systems.
Perform database performance tuning, patch management, health monitoring, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Ensure compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other applicable security requirements.
Administer and support Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Troubleshoot database issues and implement corrective actions to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
Database Administrator (DBA) Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases
· Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server Database administration including performance tuning, patching, database health monitoring, backup and recovery, and STIG compliance.
· Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science
· Must have a current DoD IAT Level II/III certification (Security+, CySA+)
· Must have a relevant current Database certification (Microsoft SQL Server is preferred or Oracle Certified Professional)
· Strong communication skills orally and in writing and must have a positive customer service attitude with excellent attention to detail.
· Navy experience is preferred.
