Network Technician

Secret Network Technician | Jacksonville, FL | $28-$32/hr

I’m hiring a Network Technician / Systems Administrator to support a DoD healthcare environment at Naval Air Station Jacksonville. This is an on-site opportunity supporting network connectivity, systems, and equipment within a hospital laboratory environment.

Pay: $28-$32/hr
Location: Jacksonville, FL | 100% onsite
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
Clearance: Active Secret required
Certification: Current CompTIA Security+ CE required
Type: 6-month contract-to-hire
Start: ASAP

What you’ll be doing:

Troubleshoot IP connectivity across switches, ports, servers, endpoints, and laboratory equipment
Support network and software connectivity within a clinical/lab environment
Configure and support workstations, servers, network devices, and connected equipment
Provide Tier 1/2 troubleshooting across hardware, software, and networking issues
Support patching, DISA STIG compliance, monitoring, and technical documentation
Work with technologies such as HL7, LIS, RALS, PACS, Cerner connectivity systems, and MHS GENESIS
Help develop documentation and SOPs as the environment and position mature

Required:

3+ years of network technician, network administration, or systems administration experience
Active Secret clearance
Current CompTIA Security+ CE
Hands-on experience troubleshooting IP connectivity, switches, ports, servers, and endpoints
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
