Cryptography Subject Matter Expert

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cryptography Subject Matter Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cryptographic principles, algorithms, and protocols, and be able to apply this knowledge to support complex security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cryptographic solutions to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Conduct cryptographic assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Provide expert guidance and support to development teams on cryptographic best practices and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryptography into new and existing systems.
• Stay current with emerging cryptographic technologies and threats, and recommend updates to existing security measures.
• Mentor and guide junior cryptographers and security professionals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cryptography and information security.
• In-depth knowledge of cryptographic algorithms (e.g., AES, RSA, ECC), protocols (e.g., TLS, IPsec), and standards (e.g., FIPS, NIST).
• Experience with cryptographic libraries and tools (e.g., OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle).
• Strong understanding of security principles and risk management.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Clearance Requirement:
This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
