Job Description
Shadowgate Partners is recruiting a senior DevOps Engineer with deep Kubernetes expertise for a client that has provided SIGINT and specialized communications systems to the Intelligence Community for more than 40 years.
Base salary is up to $220,000, based on education and experience, and is supported by an exceptionally
strong retirement and benefits package (see below).
You’ll migrate and deploy applications across on-premises and cloud infrastructure, onboard new tenants, help developers build deployments and stand up common services.
What you’ll do:
- Build and operate workloads on Kubernetes using CNCF tools
- Migrate and deploy applications in on-premises and cloud environments
- Automate infrastructure with Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible and Puppet
- Deploy through CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins
- Monitor systems with Prometheus, Grafana and Elastic
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math or a related field
- 10+ years of experience
- Very strong, hands-on Kubernetes experience (the most important requirement)
- Linux experience (RHEL 9)
- Automation with Python, Bash, Ansible or similar
- Docker experience
- Active TS with SCI eligibility and willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph
Preferred
- Master’s degree
- Current CI Polygraph
- AWS or Azure, or HPE and VMware experience
- Storage provisioning (OpenEBS, S3) and microservices architecture
