Senior Operations Research / Systems Analyst (ORSA)
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior ORSA to give DoD leaders a sound, data-driven basis for decisions on policy, resources and force capability. You’ll model and analyze how military, government or business operations interact. Your findings will shape decisions across DOTMLPF (Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities). This is a senior role: you’ll pick the methods, guide junior analysts, and own budgets, schedules and performance targets.
What You’ll Do
Analyze current and projected operations to produce clear quantitative and qualitative recommendations for leadership
Use modeling, simulation, statistics and decision-support tools, from simple to highly complex, to solve hard problems
Support capability development and integration, including concept, design, build, test, verification and validation, documentation and fielding of M&S-based decision-support tools
Choose the right analytic approach for complex problems within established policies
Mentor and direct junior analysts
Manage budgets, schedules and performance requirements
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in at least two of these areas:
Military operations / operations research: current U.S. operations, munitions, readiness and deployment across air/space, ground, special operations and maritime domains
PPBE: Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution
Force / capability development
Intelligence: collection and analysis
8+ years working with DoD stakeholders to collect, maintain and refine complex datasets
Strong SQL skills
Proven ability to work directly with clients
