The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on experience with modern software architectures and DevSecOps practices, along with the ability to lead technical efforts in demanding, mission-focused environments.
Responsibilities
• Lead the software development and integration lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and technical leadership to define requirements, establish priorities, manage technical backlogs, and deliver software capabilities.
• Design, develop, and integrate modular software solutions using service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, REST APIs, and other modern architectural approaches.
• Develop and evaluate prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions, transitioning successful capabilities into production environments.
• Integrate applications, web-based products, network operating environments, data services, and supporting infrastructure to ensure interoperability.
• Apply requirements-driven design, software architecture principles, automated testing, and secure development practices to improve software quality and reliability.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts, solve complex integration challenges, and coordinate engineering activities across multidisciplinary teams in complex operational environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and recommendations to engineering teams and senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
• Navy, DoD, or other mission-focused software engineering experience, particularly with command-and-control (C2) or mission-critical systems.
