Senior Embedded C++ Software Engineer
- Onsite (Secret Clearance) Location: Marlborough, MA 01752 Duration: 12 Months Contract About the Role Join Indotronix as a Senior Embedded C++ Software Engineer, working onsite with a dynamic team to design, develop, and optimize mission-critical embedded solutions. - Architect, code, and test embedded software in modern C++ for real-time operating systems and advanced processors
- Lead small engineering teams through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Collaborate cross-functionally across hardware, test, and systems teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, ensuring best practices and code quality
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process automation
- Engage in technical problem-solving and performance optimization for complex systems
- Support system integration, validation, and troubleshooting on custom hardware platforms Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's in STEM field and 8+ years embedded C++ software engineering experience (or advanced degree and 5+ years)
- Proven expertise in embedded RTOS, board and processor architecture
- Demonstrated leadership in small engineering teams
- Mastery of the full SDLC, from requirements through deployment
- Effective cross-functional communicator and collaborator
- Active, transferable Secret Clearance required prior to start Preferred Skills
- Proficiency with UML, OOA-D, SysML modeling
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, CI, TDD, and DevOps tools (Jenkins)
- Familiarity with FPGA interfaces and custom hardware integrations
- ARM, Versal, or similar platform experience; performance tuning
- Understanding of CORBA, microservices, containers
