Candidates must already possess an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph to be considered.
Summary:
• Administer enterprise Linux environments supporting high availability and performance across core infrastructure
• Oversee IBM Enterprise Storage operations and Veritas NetBackup backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Conduct vulnerability remediation with Nessus and execute regular patching via YUM repositories
• Drive system hardening and automate routine administrative workflows using Bash, Python, Ansible, or Puppet
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 3+ years
• Total Compensation: $244k+ yearly (tentative)
Job Description:
• Administer, maintain, and optimize Linux-based systems in an enterprise production environment
• Manage and support IBM Enterprise Storage solutions, ensuring data integrity and high availability
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Veritas NetBackup for enterprise-level backup and recovery operations
• Perform automated and manual system patching and package management using YUM repositories
• Execute vulnerability scans and perform timely remediation using Nessus to maintain security compliance
• Implement system security configurations, baseline hardening, and compliance monitoring policies
• Monitor infrastructure performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement proactive optimizations
• Develop automation scripts for routine system administration tasks using Bash, Python, Ansible, or Puppet
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams during infrastructure upgrades, audits, and incident response
• Maintain detailed documentation for system architectures, operational procedures, and compliance baselines
