DESCRIPTION:
Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Administrator (Level 2). The System Administrator shall provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. They shall manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. The System Administrator shall provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Further duties call for Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. The System Administrator will also provide support for the dispatch system. Finally, the System Administrator will configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems plus install/load operating system software and perform troubleshooting.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting & maintenance of IT systems
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution of all client/server/storage/network devices, & mobile devices
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) / Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization; perform system capacity analysis and planning
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads of operating system software

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline and ten (10) years of experience as a system administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
OR
• Fifteen (15) years of related system administration experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
