Cyber Vulnerability Assessment Analyst - Level 3

Job Description

Travel: Periodic OCONUS travel required

Kryptauri is seeking a Cyber Vulnerability Assessment Analyst to evaluate cyber defenses, investigate suspicious network activity, and deliver findings that strengthen mission security.

This role requires hands-on experience conducting defensive cyber assessments in blue team or purple team environments. You will analyze network activity, identify vulnerabilities and indicators of compromise, and develop mitigation reports that help mission partners address security gaps. The position emphasizes technical assessment experience rather than watchfloor monitoring.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct defensive cyber assessments to identify security weaknesses and evaluate protective measures.
• Analyze network traffic, anomalies, and indicators of compromise to uncover malicious or unauthorized activity.
• Integrate data from multiple sources to investigate potential threats.
• Document assessment findings and develop actionable mitigation reports.
• Collaborate with technical teams to communicate vulnerabilities and recommended improvements.
• Support mission activities requiring periodic travel outside the continental United States.

Required Skills

• Meet one of the following education and experience combinations:
  • Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree and six years of relevant experience.
  • An Associate's degree and 10 years of relevant experience may be considered for candidates with in-depth experience clearly related to the position.
  • Degree must be in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience supporting blue team, purple team, or defensive cyberspace operations (DCO).
• Demonstrated experience conducting cyber assessments and producing mitigation reports.
• Proficiency in network analysis and network anomaly detection.
• Ability to identify and evaluate indicators of compromise.
• Experience analyzing data from multiple sources to discover malicious or unauthorized activity.
• Ability to support periodic OCONUS travel.

Desired Skills

• Experience applying Zero Trust concepts within computer network exploitation, computer network operations, or related mission environments.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, security architecture, and system hardening.
• Penetration testing experience.
  
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as OSCE, CRTE, CRTO, CompTIA PenTest+, or GCIH.
