You’ll maintain and enhance existing applications, resolve defects, improve performance, and modernize user interfaces to provide intuitive, consistent, and accessible experiences. Work includes server-side logic, database functionality, and user-facing components, with development and testing conducted in separate environments and changes released to production through established version-control and release procedures.
Responsibilities

• Apply object-oriented programming principles using ColdFusion Components (CFCs), functions, methods, and reusable code.
• Develop and troubleshoot complex business rules, calculations, reports, data processing, administrative features, and multi-step workflows.
• Write, optimize, and debug SQL queries; investigate data discrepancies and resolve application and database issues.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications, including legacy code and hard-coded business logic, while preserving existing functionality and implementing new requirements.
• Modernize user interfaces to improve usability, consistency, and accessibility.
• Maintain role-based permissions, user access controls, approval workflows, and administrative functionality.

• Use version control and established development practices to manage code changes and maintain code integrity.
• Develop and test changes in designated development and test environments, validate results, and support controlled production deployments. Follow required change-management and release procedures; do not make changes directly in production outside the approved process.
• Work with project managers, end users, and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, assess requested changes, estimate effort, and develop practical solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical specifications, test plans, deployment documentation, and user documentation.
• Follow applicable software security, privacy, accessibility, and federal information system requirements.
• Collaborate with developers and technical teams, providing technical guidance as needed.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the required qualifications to be considered. Your resume should clearly document your personal, hands-on experience, including the technologies you have used, the work you performed, and your individual contributions. • Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing and troubleshooting SQL queries and working directly with application data.
• Hands-on professional experience using Bootstrap to develop and maintain user interfaces.
• Experience across server-side application logic, database functionality, and user-facing components in complex, database-driven business applications.
• Practical application of object-oriented principles, including ColdFusion Components (CFCs), functions, methods, and reusable code.
