  • Coordinate arms control conferences, workshops, working groups, and interagency meetings, including agendas, briefings, meeting minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Review Air Force and Joint acquisition programs, operational concepts, and modernization initiatives for treaty compliance impacts.
  • Analyze arms control policy, nuclear deterrence, and national security guidance to inform Air Force strategy, planning, and decision-making.
  • Maintain historical arms control documentation, capture lessons learned, and develop communications and knowledge-sharing materials.
  • Coordinate with Headquarters Air Force, major commands (MAJCOMs), and other stakeholders to support treaty compliance workforce development and program management.
  • Travel CONUS and OCONUS, sometimes on short notice, to support inspections, exercises, training, and conferences.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in arms control, treaty implementation or compliance, or nonproliferation within the Department of Defense, interagency community, or supporting contractor environment.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. arms control treaties and agreements and DoD/DAF implementation and compliance processes.
  • Demonstrated experience researching, analyzing, and preparing policy documents, point papers, briefings, and staff packages for senior leaders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to travel on short notice to CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with New START, the Chemical Weapons Convention, or the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
  • Familiarity with the Arms Control Enterprise System (ACES), Information and Resources Support System (IRSS), or similar reporting databases.
  • Experience supporting DoD Treaty Compliance Review Groups, Implementation Working Groups, or interagency coordination meetings.
  • Experience working with the Air Staff, Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, or a MAJCOM treaty compliance office.
  • Experience developing treaty compliance exercises, training programs, or acquisition compliance reviews.
  • SAP/SAR eligibility.
  • Master's degree in international relations, security studies, nuclear policy, or a related field.
