Duration: Long term contract, 5 years
Location: Hybrid - Ft. Meade, MD- must work 5 days on site for the first 30 days and then will have one day remote
Clearance: Secret
Must-Haves:
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Current IAT Level II certification or higher (Security+ CE or equivalent)
• Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 6+ years of experience
• Extensive hands-on enterprise routing and switching engineering experience
• Strong expertise with: TCP/IP, Subnetting, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, Spanning Tree, Link Aggregation, VRFs, Multicast,QoS, NAT, High Availability Architectures
• Experience with network hardware installation, upgrades, lifecycle replacement, and configuration
• Experience creating implementation plans, testing procedures, and rollback plans
• Advanced troubleshooting experience including packet capture and protocol analysis
• Experience with one or more of: Cisco,,Aruba,Palo Alto,Dell, Infoblox, Brocade
• Strong documentation skills utilizing Visio, PowerPoint, or similar tools
Plusses:
• CCNP Enterprise or equivalent certification
• Enterprise network modernization or migration experience
• SD-WAN experience
• Cisco Catalyst Center / DNA Center experience
• SD-Access experience
• Network segmentation and identity-based networking experience

Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to sit at Fort Meade, MD. This engineer will take direct ownership of enterprise routing and switching infrastructure within a large-scale, distributed environment. The ideal candidate is deeply hands-on and capable of designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex network solutions across core, distribution, access, and WAN layers. This individual will serve as the senior escalation resource for high-level routing and switching issues while partnering with architecture, cybersecurity, and operations teams to drive successful network modernization and infrastructure initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to work with advanced enterprise networking technologies in a mission-critical environment supporting large-scale government operations.
