Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. This role is critical to our infrastructure modernization efforts and requires a proven track record in automating complex infrastructure environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and tools using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) through automation.
- Ensure security and compliance in all automation efforts.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers on best practices for infrastructure automation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure automation and cloud technologies.
- Extensive experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and practices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack).
