Position: System Analyst
Location: 2-3 days a week on site until training is completed, and then once a month
Duration: 6 month contract to hire, she will convert perm after 6 months
Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 5:00AM – 3:00PM
Conversion Salary: under $100K
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher with ability to be processed for a DOE-L clearance.
• Hands-on experience implementing, applying, or maintaining DISA STIGs within a secure government/DoD environment.
• Experience with system/application hardening, security baselines, patching, access controls, authentication, audit logging, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience administering and supporting ArcGIS, Esri, or a similar enterprise GIS platform.
• Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting server-based applications.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and relational databases.
• Experience with Python and/or JavaScript, ideally within an ArcGIS or enterprise application environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, servers, databases, and security configurations.
Job Description:
The GIS Systems Analyst will support the administration, security, hardening, and ongoing operation of GIS and enterprise applications within a secure government environment. A major focus of this role will be applying and maintaining DISA STIG requirements, remediating security findings, and ensuring servers and applications remain compliant with approved government security baselines. The analyst will also administer ArcGIS and supporting server environments, troubleshoot applications and databases, manage system access and security configurations, and support application deployments and upgrades. This individual will work across ArcGIS, Microsoft SQL Server, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and other enterprise applications to maintain secure and reliable systems supporting facility data management.
Day-to-Day
The GIS Systems Analyst will spend a significant portion of their time reviewing, implementing, and maintaining DISA STIGs across servers and applications, including identifying compliance gaps, applying required configurations, and supporting remediation efforts. They will administer and troubleshoot ArcGIS and other server-based applications, manage security controls such as role-based access, authentication, logging, patching, and system hardening, and support software deployments and upgrades. The analyst will also work with Microsoft SQL Server databases and use Python and/or JavaScript to support GIS applications, integrations, and automation. They will collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to maintain compliant systems within the secure government environment while documenting configurations, technical requirements, and recommended improvements.
