This individual will leverage strong C++ development experience to develop, modify, integrate, and execute software within military simulation environments used to evaluate aviation platforms, weapons systems, sensors, networks, and emerging capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have strong professional C++ experience along with experience coding within military simulation environments such as AFSIM, VR-Forces, Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), EADSIM, ITASE, OneSAF, JSAF, or comparable platforms. Direct AFSIM experience is not required. Python is highly valued as a companion language, particularly for data processing and statistical analysis related to simulation outputs.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop, modify, integrate, and maintain C++ software supporting military modeling and simulation environments.
- Design and implement software capabilities used to model and evaluate military systems, operational scenarios, and mission outcomes.
- Develop and modify models, simulation components, and mission scenarios within military simulation platforms such as AFSIM, VR-Forces, NGTS, EADSIM, ITASE, OneSAF, JSAF, or comparable environments.
- Configure and execute simulation scenarios and run sets to evaluate system performance and mission effectiveness.
- Develop software integrations, simulation extensions, plug-ins, and other custom capabilities as required.
- Use Python as a companion language for data processing, statistical analysis, automation, and post-processing of simulation results.
- Develop scripts and analytical tools that automate simulation execution, data collection, processing, and analysis.
- Support modeling of aviation platforms, weapons, sensors, missile systems, radar, electronic warfare capabilities, command-and-control networks, and related military systems.
