Cybersecurity Analyst, Mid-Level

Job Description:

Overview:
We are seeking a Mid-Level Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat detection, incident response, and security operations. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools
• Investigate security incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Implement and maintain security controls to protect organizational assets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices
• Develop and update security policies and procedures
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Provide technical support during security emergencies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related field
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
• Strong understanding of network security and encryption protocols
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or SANS
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001)

Duties:

• Perform continuous monitoring of security systems
• Respond to security alerts and incidents
• Conduct security awareness training for employees
• Assist in developing incident response plans

Work Environment:
This position requires frequent interaction with sensitive data and systems. The employee will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team, often under tight deadlines.
