Must Haves:
• Active Secret or TS
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical discipline
• Experience managing requirements throughout the system lifecycle
• Familiarity with system integration, verification, and validation activities
• Experience working within a structured engineering or defense environment Strong communication and collaboration skills
Plusses:
• Working knowledge of Atlassian tools, including JIRA and Confluence.
• Familiarity with MBSE and digital engineering tools.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles, processes, and lifecycle activities.
• Experience supporting requirements development, system integration, test, and verification activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams including software, test, and systems engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical work and communicate status effectively.

Day to Day:
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and deployment of mission-critical systems within a defense environment. This individual will work closely with software, test, and hardware engineering teams to ensure requirements are properly defined, traced, integrated, and validated throughout the system lifecycle. The ideal candidate has experience supporting complex technical programs, collaborating across engineering disciplines, and helping drive systems from concept through deployment.
Key Responsibilities
• Support systems engineering efforts throughout the full development lifecycle Analyze, decompose, allocate, and trace system requirements
• Assist with system integration, verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities
• Partner with software, test, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to deliver system capabilities
• Support system architecture, interface definition, and technical baseline management
• Participate in design reviews, technical assessments, and engineering working groups
• Track technical risks, issues, and action items while supporting program execution Develop and maintain engineering documentation, requirements artifacts, and technical deliverables
• Support deployment, maintenance, and operational sustainment activities
• Contribute to process improvements and systems engineering best practices
