Location: McLean, VA
Clearance Required: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (CIP)
Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000
Description
We are seeking a Data Scientist to support mission-focused work. The Data Scientist applies quantitative, analytical, and statistical methods to explore, model, and extract actionable insights from complex structured and unstructured datasets. Operating within a multi-disciplinary team, this role focuses on leveraging supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, research design principles, and data science methodologies to support strategic client decision-making and data-driven solutions. The position requires an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (CIP).
Primary Responsibilities
Machine Learning & Modeling: Design, train, and evaluate supervised and unsupervised machine learning models to analyze diverse structured and unstructured datasets.
Methodological Research: Apply research design principles, applied mathematics, computer programming, and data visualization tools to investigate complex data problems.
Client Advisory: Advise clients on data strategy, data acquisition, data governance, and data infrastructure implementations.
Data Visualization & Storytelling: Communicate analytical findings and data insights clearly through visual dashboards, written reports, and executive presentations.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of research design principles
Knowledge of analytic methods and methodological tools used in applied mathematics, computer programming, or data visualization
Ability to apply supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms on structured and unstructured datasets
Bachelor's degree
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (CIP)
Must work on-site in McLean, VA
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of data strategy and data governance
Ability to advise clients on data acquisition, data management, and data infrastructure
Ability to execute projects and tasks with minimal guidance and supervision

Salary for this position is determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific budget considerations.
Proposed Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000
