This role requires a deep understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Implement network security measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Monitor network performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other systems.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our network remains state-of-the-art.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, etc.).
- Experience with network devices such as Cisco, Juniper, or Huawei routers and switches.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP.
- Experience with cloud networking technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV).
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
