Senior Project Manager - Federal Market

Dewberry is seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in the federal market to lead complex projects for our federal clients. This role is based in our Fairfax, VA office and offers an excellent opportunity for career growth within our federal practice.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex federal projects from conception through delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Serve as primary point of contact for federal clients, providing technical and project management expertise.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project deliverables meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and present project status reports, proposals, and other client communications.
• Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans.
• Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and other applicable guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in the federal market.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex federal projects.
• Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations and procurement processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Active security clearance (TS/SCI preferred) or ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Department of Defense, NASA, or other major federal agencies.
• Knowledge of federal facility design and construction standards.
• Experience with cost estimating and budgeting for federal projects.
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills within the federal procurement community.
