Position Overview
We are seeking a Resident Engineer with strong expertise in Service Provider Routing & Switching to support mission-critical network environments. This individual will serve as a trusted technical resource, providing operational support, troubleshooting, network optimization, and automation capabilities within a complex infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain large-scale routing and switching environments.
- Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for network infrastructure.
- Assist with network design, implementation, upgrades, and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain network automation solutions and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve network reliability and scalability.
- Support DevOps initiatives and infrastructure automation efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
- Experience supporting Service Provider Routing & Switching environments.
- Background in network automation and DevOps practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and operational support experience.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with distributed technical teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Python, Ansible, or other automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with large-scale ISP, enterprise, or government network environments.
- Experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and related technologies.
- Vendor certifications (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, etc.) are a plus.
