DCI Job Requirement for:
Microsoft Defender Cybersecurity Engineer
Location: Remote (With to travel to Ft. Meade, MD)
Job Description:
• Serve as a Microsoft Defender Cybersecurity Engineer to support a DoD mission
• Provide technical expertise in Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE)
• Provide support for cybersecurity operations, including:
◦ Systems integration
◦ Advanced threat detection
◦ Troubleshooting and operational maintenance
• Configure, deploy, administer, and optimize MDE across enterprise environments
• Conduct threat hunting, security investigation, incident analysis, and remediation support
• Integrate Microsoft Defender with existing:
◦ Security infrastructure
◦ Enterprise networks
◦ Endpoint management systems
• Troubleshoot Defender performance, configuration, connectivity, and operational issues
• Support endpoint security policies, vulnerability management, and security posture
• Provide systems engineering, network integration, and problem-resolution support
• Coordinate complex technical issues with Microsoft support teams
• Provide technical documentation, and training to government personnel
Qualifications:
• Extensive experience deploying, administering, supporting MDE in enterprise environments
• Strong experience integrating and troubleshooting enterprise cybersecurity solutions
• Strong understanding of:
◦ Cybersecurity principles
◦ Endpoint detection and response (EDR)
◦ Threat hunting
◦ Malware detection
◦ Incident response
• Experience troubleshooting Windows OS and enterprise networks
