Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified Cryptography Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Laurel, MD. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in cryptographic systems, algorithms, and protocols. This role requires a deep understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of cryptography, including symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hash functions, digital signatures, and key management.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cryptographic solutions to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Conduct cryptographic assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to software developers, security engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryptographic technologies into new and existing systems.
• Stay current with emerging cryptographic trends, threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Mentor and train junior cryptographic professionals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cryptography and information security.
• In-depth knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and standards (e.g., AES, RSA, ECC, TLS, PKI).
• Experience with cryptographic libraries and tools (e.g., OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle).
• Strong understanding of cryptographic key management and certificate handling.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with quantum-resistant cryptography.
• Knowledge of cryptographic applications in cloud computing and mobile environments.
• Familiarity with formal verification and cryptographic proofs.
