Job Title: UI Engineer
Duration: 6 month contract to hire, you will convert perm after 6 months
Compensation: 170k conversion
Clearance: TSSCI
Shift: core hours M-F
Onboarding: 2 weeks
Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking an individual with a proven background as a UI developer to support us on a mission critical program for a defense customer. This individual will be responsible for design and development of a user interface that will be used for tracking space based assets and technology for the DoW. in support of a prototyping effort for the DoW. The successful candidate will design visually compelling, user-friendly interfaces while building sustainable, cloud-native applications within a rapid prototyping team. This role includes collaboration with software engineers, data engineers, DevSecOps engineers, and systems engineers.
Other duties:
• Design and implement modern, responsive, and accessible UI solutions using frameworks like React, Angular, or VueJS, alongside HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Translate user needs into intuitive interfaces using wireframes, prototypes, and design systems.
• Build and manage scalable back-end services using Python
• Participate in architecture decisions, technical design reviews, Agile workflows, and iterative software delivery.
• Troubleshoot performance issues, guide junior developers, conduct code reviews, and advocate for UI best practices.
Must Haves:
• Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of experience
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
• Experience developing frontend solutions using React or Angular, or VueJS, plus HTML5, CSS3, and modern UI standards.
• Working knowledge of python
• UI/UX Expertise: Experience designing aesthetic, user-friendly, accessible interfaces with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and a focus on responsive design, A11y compliance, and web performance.
