Job Description
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Analyst in Arlington, VA.
Job title: Cybersecurity Operations Analyst
Location: Arlington, VA (Pentagon)
Clearance: Active TS/SCI
Position Type: Full Time, 8hrs/day, 40hrs week.
As an experienced and motivated cybersecurity professional, you will leverage your professional and technical acumen in support of the Department of War Chief Information Officer (DoW CIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). You will perform the duties commensurate with a liaison between the strategic and operational levels, with occasional tactical level interaction. You have demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, network operations, and the basic principles of military operations in the cyber domain. Additionally, you are familiar with current DoW cybersecurity policies as well as the process to develop and implement technical policy to protect DoW systems and information.
Additionally, you will analyse cyber threats, provide technical content, and contribute to the development of strategy, policy, governance, and portfolio management for systems cybersecurity. You will assist in tracking implementation efforts across Combatant Commands, Services, and Agencies to support the warfighter and secure the joint information enterprise of systems and networks. You will develop and deliver briefings, whitepapers, and reports to senior level DoW and high-ranking military personnel on current and emerging cyber threats which may impact DoW information, systems, or personnel.
Education/Experience Requirements:
· BA or BS degree OR equivalent experience.
· 5 years of experience with information technology (e.g., technical policy writing, systems engineering, systems administration, etc.) for top-level U.S. government agencies.
· Exceptional communication skills (oral, written, etc.)
· Action Officer level experience with briefing and producing work products for senior clients, including GS-15, SES, or Flag Officers.
· Demonstrable experience with technical writing, including security policy, guidance, and memorandums (examples requested).
· Experience with technical writing, whitepaper development, and creating and delivering PowerPoint briefings (examples requested).
