Required Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 6+ years of professional experience
• Active Top Secret clearance
Nice to Have:
• Proficiency with CAD tools (Creo)
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards
• Experience with materials testing, actuators, custom heat sinks, electro-optical systems
• TS/SCI with Poly clearance
Job Description Summary: The client, in the defense industry, is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on advanced mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for defense and aerospace applications. The role involves the full product development lifecycle, from design to testing, with a focus on precision mechanisms and complex electromechanical assemblies. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, capable of handling technical challenges in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable with both conceptual design and hardware testing. Responsibilities include driving mechanical design efforts from concept through qualification, ensuring performance, reliability, manufacturability, and compliance with program requirements.
