Job Description

Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Developers
Location: Fort Meade, MD, Ogden, UT, or Scott AFB, IL
Type: Contract
Compensation: $65/hr. W2
Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance or higher (or eligible for Secret clearance)

Overview
System One IT has multiple 12-month+ contract openings for highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developers to play a key role in the successful implementation and adoption of ServiceNow applications across a federal enterprise. Ideal candidates will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional customer-facing skills.

The positions are 5 days a week on-site in Fort Meade, MD, Ogden, UT, or Scott AFB, IL, depending on candidate location. An active Secret or higher clearance is needed. At a minimum, the roles require U.S. citizenship with eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities
• Support the stand-up, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow’s ITSM, OMT, TSM, TSOM, and Workforce Management Capability modules.
• Create and maintain Forms, Reports, Views, Workflows, Groups, and Roles.
• Create, maintain, and enhance Dashboards and reporting, including scheduled reports.
• Create and configure tool integrations with ServiceNow (Elastic, Netcool, Kafka, etc.).
• Coordinate and support application and platform upgrades.
• Assist with design, creation, and cataloging of business process flows.
• Work with other members of the ServiceNow development team to propose solutions based on business needs and strategies.
• Perform the necessary tasks to design and configure ServiceNow functions to meet operational needs.
• Support business process re-engineering activities to move ticketing and order management capabilities into ServiceNow.
• Identify trends and find patterns in unstructured and semi-structured customer data that can be used to create a more positive customer experience and increase overall network performance.
• Interact with the customer to address Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
• Develop, configure, and customize the ServiceNow platform to fit business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems. Orchestrate and automate tasks.
• Design and build ServiceNow Applications and integrations to other applications and platforms, including architecture, languages, best practices, and methodologies in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Provide strong development and project on-track and on-task support and collaborate on ongoing projects between engineers, developers, analysts, and other team members.
• Follow, maintain, and apply documentation best practice policies, procedures, and processes throughout ServiceNow development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input to support ongoing business needs for ServiceNow configuration, implementation, and support.
• Review and apply any additional UI/UX requirements from external and internal teams and integrate them into ServiceNow development.
• Utilize programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures, and techniques while contributing to technical documentation.
• Support data migration as needed.
• Design and implement solutions following established Configuration Management policies and standards.
• Integrate data from multiple data sources into a unified CMDB, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Work with and mentor junior developers to guide and coach throughout each project.

Requirements
• Requires U.S. citizenship.
• Hold an active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher (such as Security+ CE) within 14 days of hire.
• Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Must be able to commute to Scott AFB, IL, Ft. Meade, MD, or Ogden, UT for full-time on-site support.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 8 – 12 years of relevant experience or master’s with 6- 10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of work experience in place of a degree are acceptable.
• At least 6 years of experience with the design, development, and support of technology infrastructure.
• At least 4 years of ServiceNow development.
• Experience with ServiceNow upgrades.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks.
• Ability to multitask and self-assign work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articulate status and present to both customers and program leadership.
• Ability to develop and present management-level briefings.
• Demonstrate potential and willingness to learn and adapt to rapid technological changes.
• Willing to assist and train junior developers.

Preferred Qualifications
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
• ServiceNow CSM Pro Plus Suite Certified
• Experience or familiarity with Agile development and testing methodology
• Exposure to ServiceNow applications like Telecommunications Management System (TSM), Telecommunications Network Inventory (TNI), Order Management Telecommunications (OMT) modules, etc.
• Experience with JIRA, Git, and Confluence.
• Understanding of ITIL Foundation or ITIL certification.
• AWS cloud and ServiceNow certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline.
• Experience working with large software systems including hardware integration and testing.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary technical development teams.
• Experience using SAFe as the agile development methodology.
• Experience moving from a legacy application to a new application.
• Applying test automation, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment to achieve built-in quality.
• Using Kanban to improve flow on support teams.
• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD implementation.
