Job Description

Duties

  • You will serve as the DRPM RAS Security Manager and senior security advisor, responsible for leading and integrating Information Security (INFOSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC).
  • You will be responsible for Operations Security (OPSEC), industrial security, classification management, program protection, and Special Access Program (SAP) security requirements.
  • You will serve as the principal advisor to DRPM RAS leadership on security policy, requirements, risks, and compliance with applicable Navy and DoD requirements.
  • You will be responsible for expert level Government Special Security Officer (GSSO) support to multi-level security special programs to meet policies, programs, and procedural requirements.
  • You will oversee security requirements for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), classified conference rooms, secure workspaces, and other controlled spaces supporting DRPM RAS personnel and programs.
  • You will prepare, review, and recommend program protection plans, security classification guides, and other classification and security documentation necessary to protect classified information, critical technologies, systems, and capabilities.
  • You will oversee classification management and provide guidance on the classification, marking, handling, transmission, storage, safeguarding, and appropriate disclosure of classified and controlled information.
  • You will conduct and support security assessments, inspections, training, incident response, and corrective actions and advise leadership on identified security risks and mitigation requirements.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Advising on security programs to provide for the development, implementation and oversight of security policies and strategies.

Additional information

This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-04 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. This position has a control point; thus the salary range may be capped at the GS-15, step 05, which is equivalent to $191,850. If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched.
