Role: Operational Resilience Specialist
Location: Chantilly, VA
Compensation: $130,400 - $160,000 + Benefits (potentially higher base for very strong candidates)
Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance + Polygraph Required
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Our client is seeking an Operational Resilience Specialist to support a highly complex Intelligence Community environment focused on business continuity, emergency management, crisis response, and mission-critical operations.
This role will help ensure critical functions remain operational during emergencies and unexpected disruptions. You will work with SMEs, command centers, and external providers while supporting continuity planning and emergency communications programs for an Intelligence Community client.
Responsibilities
Provide senior-level business continuity and emergency management support
Help maintain mission-critical operations during emergencies and disruptions
Support a complex Intelligence Community business continuity environment
Support and maintain emergency communications programs
Work with SMEs, command centers, and external service providers
Develop and maintain casualty and emergency notification programs
Support personnel accountability and mass alert notification systems
Ensure timely emergency notifications
Analyze real-time metrics and identify sustainable improvements to crisis response capabilities
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in business continuity and emergency management within the Intelligence Community
Experience with federal continuity directives, including FCD-1 and FCD-2
Experience with DoDI 3001.02 and government continuity plans
Ability to manage personnel accountability programs and mass alert notification systems
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) certification
Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification
Experience with Microsoft Office products
Strong communication, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to take initiative and make sound judgments
