Job Details:
- Provide comprehensive technical development support for CI/HUMINT software prototypes and data management capabilities.
- The Software Engineer will serve as a key technical resource for designing, developing, and deploying tools and capabilities that support intelligence operations, working closely with Data Management Support Officers, Data Scientists, and the Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), the engineer will translate operational requirements into functional software solutions.
- Demands proficiency in multiple programming languages, cloud-based development environments, API design, and automated testing frameworks.
- Must demonstrate strong understanding of data ingestion pipelines, AI/ML integration, and cross-system interoperability within the intelligence community.
- Primary responsibilities include developing software prototypes for tools, implementing data ingestion and integration capabilities, and supporting AI/ML algorithm development and deployment in collaboration with Data Scientists.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to quality and security standards, coordinate with Data Management Tool Administrators on system enhancements, and support technical requirements and system integration efforts.
- Develop APIs and interfaces for cross-system data exchange, implementing automated testing and CI/CD pipelines, interfacing with the IT Project Manager on technical development activities, coordinating with the ISSE on security requirements and implementation, and supporting software development for cross-domain data transfer capabilities.
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software engineering principles, experience with agile development methodologies, and familiarity with intelligence community data standards and security protocols.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to the position; an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Minimum four (4) years of directly related technical experience
- Current active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
- Expertise in modern software development practices, data integration technologies, and collaborative development within secure intelligence environments.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
