What We’re Looking For:
Iridium is seeking an IT Security Compliance Administrator II to join our IT Security team. In this role, you will support the administration of cybersecurity compliance goals and requirements for Iridium, working under the guidance of senior team members. As the IT Security Compliance Administrator II, you will also assist with project management activities in support of the IT Security team’s goals and initiatives.

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.

Base Pay Range: $75,000 - $95,000
Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors and this range represents an estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Base salary is only one part of our compensation package for this role. You may also be eligible for company stock and annual bonus. Iridium is seeking an IT Security Compliance Administrator II to join our IT Security team. In this role, you will support the administration of cybersecurity compliance goals and requirements for Iridium, working under the guidance of senior team members. As the IT Security Compliance Administrator II, you will also assist with project management activities in support of the IT Security team’s goals and initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Support cybersecurity compliance goals and requirements, including assisting with the development of policies, procedures, and standards that help ensure the security, confidentiality, and privacy of information consistent with organizational and compliance requirements
- Work with cross functional teams to help ensure they are properly managing security controls and maintaining compliance
- Assist with security audits, risk analysis, and security reviews
- Create and maintain documentation for compliance requirements
- Support the IT Security team in meetings with the organization to help align project deliverables with security goals
- Assist with security risk assessments and compliance audits, and provide input on levels of risk tolerance under guidance from senior staff
- Help develop, revise, and maintain remediation plans and track to closure
- Support the development of metrics that demonstrate the effectiveness of governance in meeting control objectives
- Participate in the project planning and project management duties of the team
- Suggest improvements and seek additional training to maintain skills necessary to execute duties
- Other duties as assigned by management
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Computer Science, or equivalent, relevant work experience
- 2+ years’ experience working with information security controls, information technology audit, or security risk management
- Exposure to developing or supporting security standards and guidelines based on best practices and industry standards
- Familiarity with NIST CSF & 800-171, CMMC, and SOX compliance frameworks preferred
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to respond to questions within their scope and present deliverables and analyses clearly to the team
- Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions or come up with solutions
- Be comfortable managing upward, including being a proactive communicator and asking for help when needed
- Have confidence and be able to establish valuable relationships with others
- Must be able to prioritize key tasks with guidance from manager and have a strong sense of ownership over your work
- Be active in seeking out ways to continuously improve yourself and gain new knowledge
Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:
- Previous project management coursework or experience (progress toward CAPM/PMP) is a plus
- Progress toward Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or equivalent certification is a plus
