Aether Aerospace is seeking a is currently seeking a Program Protection Security Specialist/Management Analyst - Journeyman level, to support the Chief Technology and Strategic Operations (CTSO) Office at the Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division. The candidate will provide comprehensive security support to the CTSO Office with duties and responsibilities commensurate to those of a Program Security Manager or Command Security Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide day-to-day program and command security support to the Chief Technology and Strategic Operations (CTSO) Office, performing duties consistent with Program Security Manager and Command Security Manager functions.
Support the development, review, maintenance, and implementation of Security Classification Guides (SCGs) and other security policies, procedures, plans, and documentation.
Provide guidance on classification, declassification, derivative classification, and proper marking of classified and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in accordance with applicable DoD and Navy requirements.
Ensure classified and sensitive information is properly marked, handled, safeguarded, stored, transmitted, transported, reproduced, and destroyed in accordance with established security policies and procedures.
Assist personnel with security clearance and investigation requirements, including eQIP/eApp, personnel security questionnaires, Personnel Action Requests (PARs), and other required security processing actions.
Support security incident response and reporting, including adverse information, security violations, classified information spills, unauthorized disclosures, and other reportable security events. Assist with documentation, coordination, corrective actions, and follow-up as required.
Assist with Operations Security (OPSEC) activities by identifying potential vulnerabilities, supporting risk assessments, and helping ensure sensitive information and critical indicators are appropriately protected.
Support security inspections, assessments, audits, and compliance reviews; assist with identifying deficiencies, documenting findings, and tracking corrective actions through resolution.
Coordinate with internal and external security organizations and stakeholders to resolve security-related issues and ensure consistent implementation of security requirements.
As required, expand support into additional program protection disciplines, including Acquisition Security, Program Protection, Cybersecurity, International Program Security, and Communications Security (COMSEC).
Maintain security records, trackers, reports, correspondence, and other program documentation, and perform routine administrative and management-analysis functions in support of CTSO operations.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
Education & Years of Experience: A High School Diploma or GED, and at least 5 years of experience with INFOSEC, OPSEC, Physical Security, and Industrial Security, or an Associates Degree and 2 years of experience.
Demonstrated experience supporting multiple security disciplines, with working knowledge of Information Security (INFOSEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), Physical Security, and Industrial Security.
Hands-on experience with the protection, handling, marking, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified information and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Experience applying classification and derivative classification requirements, including working with Security Classification Guides and determining appropriate markings and safeguarding requirements.
Ability to develop and deliver security awareness briefings and training to government, military, and contractor personnel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate security requirements, document findings, prepare reports and correspondence, and advise personnel on appropriate security procedures.
Ability and willingness to develop proficiency across additional security disciplines, including Acquisition Security, Program Protection, Cybersecurity, International Program Security, and COMSEC.
$90,000 - $100,000 a year
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
