Join NASK and help shape the next generation of digital signal processing solutions for the nation’s most critical missions.
About NASK
NASK has over twenty-five years of experience delivering innovative, mission-critical solutions to the Intelligence and Defense communities. We're solving challenging signal processing and intelligence problems that directly support national security missions. We're looking for a Senior SIGINT/Digital Signal Processing Engineer who enjoys building high-performance software and developing real-time signal processing applications.
You will focus on telemetry signals used in the defense industry, including spacecraft monitoring, aircraft development, and weapons system testing. Telemetry is used by manned and unmanned systems for various data transmissions, including monitoring the platform's health and status. Telemetry for weapons testing includes monitoring temperatures, vibrations, accelerations, positions, and status of various subsystems. This role involves reverse-engineering telemetry data transmitted by various systems to determine their performance characteristics and capabilities. You will also integrate this information into an automated SIGINT processing system used by our government customer to analyze adversaries’ technical capabilities across a variety of warfighting domains.
You'll collaborate with engineers across software, electrical, and aerospace disciplines to develop next-generation signal processing and analysis capabilities. This role involves a dive into encryption/decryption technologies, wireless communication protocols, and system navigation data. The candidate will lead a team of engineers to extract system engineering data from a variety of platforms and systems, enabling our customer to maintain a complete picture of emerging technologies and capabilities.
This position also involves designing and developing advanced software algorithms to assist with extracting various parameters from the telemetry data once the structure of the data is reverse-engineered and is ideal for an engineer who enjoys writing efficient code, solving difficult technical problems, and seeing their software operate on real-world systems.
