Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Program Analyst to provide program management, analytical, administrative, and acquisition support for program and project activities. This position applies knowledge of management functions, processes, and basic analytical methods to gather, organize, and evaluate information in support of program and project managers and customers.

The Junior Program Analyst will assist with program milestones, financial and acquisition documentation, policy and quality control activities, maintenance and training documentation, and other program-related requirements. This position will work closely with more senior personnel and provide support for analytical studies, operational reviews, and other business-related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of management functions, processes, and analytical methods to gather, organize, and evaluate information in support of program and project requirements.
  • Collect and maintain information supporting program and project milestones, financial documentation, acquisition activities, policies, quality control, maintenance, training, and other program requirements.
  • Assist senior personnel with work measurement studies, program and project operational efficiency reviews, cost studies, workload change impact analyses, and other business-related analyses.
  • Utilize automated management information systems to perform fact-finding, data collection, basic analysis, reporting, and advisory functions.
  • Assist with the preparation, tracking, and maintenance of program and project documentation and deliverables.
  • Organize and maintain program information and data to support program managers, project teams, and customers.
  • Assist with preparing reports, spreadsheets, presentations, briefings, and other program-related materials.
  • Collect, compile, and organize data from multiple sources to support program analysis and decision-making.
  • Support program and project teams with administrative and analytical tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with tracking program activities, milestones, and deliverables to help ensure information remains current and accurate.
  • Work collaboratively with program managers, senior analysts, customers, and other team members to gather information and support mission requirements.
  • Perform other program management and analytical support activities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (AA/AS) in Business, Management, or a related discipline is desired.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent and three (3) additional years of relevant professional experience may be substituted for the AA/AS degree.
  • Two (2) years of relevant professional experience is desired.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and evaluate information in support of program and project requirements.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support more senior personnel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Basic proficiency with common business and productivity tools used for documentation, data collection, and reporting.
  • Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting U.S. Government or Department of Defense programs.
  • Experience supporting acquisition management or acquisition-related activities.
  • Experience with program or project documentation, milestone tracking, financial documentation, quality control, maintenance, or training activities.
  • Experience assisting with work measurement studies, operational efficiency reviews, cost studies, workload analyses, or other business-related analytical activities.
  • Experience using automated management information systems for data collection, fact-finding, analysis, or reporting.
  • Experience working in a professional program management, business, technical, or administrative environment.
