Job Title: ETL Developer
Location: Mclean, VA
Type: Contract
Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT solutions to integrate data from multiple source systems
• Develop scalable and high-performance data pipelines for batch and near real-time data processing
• Build and maintain data integration workflows using modern ETL tools and cloud-based data platforms
• Analyze source systems and business requirements to create efficient data mapping, transformation, and validation rules
• Optimize ETL performance, troubleshoot data processing issues, and implement tuning strategies to improve efficiency
• Collaborate with data architects, database administrators, business analysts, and application teams to deliver reliable data solutions
• Develop and maintain data warehouses, operational data stores, and reporting data marts
• Implement data quality checks, reconciliation processes, and exception handling frameworks
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and operational runbooks
• Support production deployments, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, privacy, and organizational standards
REQUIREMENTS
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field; four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in ETL development, data integration, and data warehousing
• Strong experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, DataStage, AWS Glue, or similar platforms
• Proficiency in SQL and database technologies including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Experience designing complex data transformation, data migration, and integration solutions
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star/snowflake schemas
• Experience working with cloud-based data services and modern data platforms
• Knowledge of data quality, data governance, and metadata management best practices
• Experience with performance tuning, error handling, and troubleshooting large-scale ETL processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in Agile development environments and collaborate across technical and business teams
