Duties
As an INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GS-0132-11, you will perform specialized duties and train assigned military unit members in the duties and functions associated with operational intelligence. Provide detailed intelligence analysis for mission planning, aircrew briefings and debriefings. Trainer and task certifier for intelligence systems, order of battle maintenance, mission planning, threat analysis, and GI&S support. Perform complex intelligence analysis of all pertinent threat weapons systems and geopolitical conditions that could impact the unit's mission success. This position requires a comprehensive working knowledge of intelligence support operations, procedures, and practices. Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements.
Telework: ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Must have experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have at least one year experience, education or training equivalent to the next lower level, in developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports.

- KANSAS NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate Top Secret security clearance within one year of appointment.
