Software Engineer
- Turtle Gut (Top Secret Clearance Required) Location: King of Prussia, PA (100% Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time or Contract About the Role Join a high-impact engineering team supporting critical national security programs. As a Software Engineer at Turtle Gut, you'll leverage your expertise in software development to build secure, scalable solutions that directly contribute to the nation's security. You will work onsite in King of Prussia, PA, alongside talented engineers, using the latest technologies in an Agile and mission-focused environment. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain secure software applications and backend services.
- Build microservices, APIs, distributed systems, and data-centric applications using Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to DevOps initiatives by supporting CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Review code and champion software engineering best practices for security and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical guidance within the team.
- Ensure compliance with federal security and quality standards for sensitive government programs. Required Skills and Experience
- Active Top Secret security clearance at time of hire, with the ability to obtain SCI.
- Minimum 3-4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience developing modern applications using best practices in software engineering.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Building and maintaining microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization.
- Strong understanding of version control (Git) and Agile methodologies (Jira, Confluence).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Preferred Skills
- Previous experience with DoD, Intelligence Community, or federal government programs.
- Knowledge of secure software development practices and scalable, cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
