Insight Global is seeking Senior AFSIM Modeler to support the U.S. Army Aviation Future Capability Directorate (A-FCD). This individual will lead the development, execution, and analysis of advanced modeling and simulation efforts that support Army Aviation modernization, capability development, force design, experimentation, and requirements analysis.
The Senior AFSIM Modeler will work directly with Army Aviation subject matter experts, engineers, and analysts to transform operational challenges and future capability requirements into simulation-based analyses that inform Army decision-making. This role also provides technical leadership and mentorship to junior modeling and analytical personnel.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain AFSIM models representing current and future Army Aviation and multi-domain operations.
Build and execute mission-level simulation scenarios that support capability assessments and requirements development.
Model aircraft, weapons systems, sensors, radar systems, electronic warfare capabilities, missile systems, satellite/space architectures, and command-and-control networks.
Develop and modify custom AFSIM plug-ins, extensions, and analytical tools.
Utilize C++, Python, and scripting solutions to automate simulation execution, data collection, and analytical processes.
Conduct quantitative analyses to evaluate alternative capabilities, force structures, mission concepts, and system configurations.
Collaborate with Army Aviation SMEs to convert operational concepts and mission requirements into executable simulation environments.
Support verification, validation, and quality assurance activities to ensure model accuracy and reliability.
Document analytical methodologies, assumptions, source data, model configurations, and result traceability.
Create technical reports, briefings, and presentations for government stakeholders.
Present simulation results and analytical findings to technical and operational audiences.
Mentor junior modelers and provide technical guidance across modeling and simulation efforts.
Compensation:
$115,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year annual salary.
