Candidates must already possess an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph to be considered.
Summary:
• Provide system administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for IT systems in Linux and Solaris environments.
• Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution support to users.
• Monitor system operations, perform capacity planning, and execute hardware and software performance tuning.
• Write Perl and Shell scripts to automate administration tasks and support system operations.
• Support Oracle database installation, setup, and configuration.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 5+ years
• Total Compensation: $196k+ yearly (tentative)
Job Description:
• Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and daily maintenance of IT systems, including client, server, storage, and network devices.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution for hardware and software issues.
• Administer and configure systems within UNIX and Linux environments.
• Perform server performance tuning, resource optimization, and capacity analysis at both hardware and software levels.
• Escalate operational issues and communicate status to management and internal stakeholders.
• Assist end users in accessing, configuring, and utilizing IT systems effectively.
• Perform Oracle database installation, configuration, and setup.
• Develop and maintain Perl and Bourne Shell scripts for routine system administration functions.
