• Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain required clearance.
• Experience supporting IT procurement, contract administration, acquisition, logistics, supply chain, or order management functions.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience creating reports, documentation, and executive-level updates.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a larger program team.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
• Familiarity with IT ordering platforms, e-commerce procurement systems, or enterprise storefront environments.
• Experience supporting hardware procurement, device fulfillment, or technology asset management.

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an IT Ordering Specialist to support a Department of the Air Force (DAF) enterprise device ordering and fulfillment program. This individual will play a critical role in managing the procurement and delivery of end-user devices through a centralized IT storefront. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting IT procurement, contract administration, acquisition, logistics, supply chain operations, or technology fulfillment within a federal or military environment. This role serves as a key liaison between government stakeholders, vendors, OEMs, and program leadership to ensure efficient and accurate order processing.
This role is primarily remote, but may include some onsite presence in Annapolis, MD or St. Petersburg, FL.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
The IT Ordering Specialist will coordinate the end-to-end lifecycle of device orders, from initial request through fulfillment and delivery. They will work closely with government stakeholders, vendors, and OEM partners to ensure orders are processed accurately and in accordance with approved requirements and timelines. Daily responsibilities include tracking device orders, monitoring order status, maintaining hardware asset visibility, supporting payment and procurement workflows, and resolving ordering issues. The specialist will also prepare reports, update documentation, communicate status updates to stakeholders, and help ensure business processes supporting the IT storefront operate efficiently. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate end-user device orders through the enterprise IT storefront.
• Track orders throughout the procurement and fulfillment lifecycle.
• Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and government stakeholders to ensure timely device delivery.
• Support procurement, payment processing, and ordering workflows.
• Maintain accurate records of orders, inventory, and hardware asset visibility.
• Monitor order status and proactively identify and address delays or issues.
• Prepare and distribute status reports, metrics, and project updates.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams, procurement teams, and end users.
• Support administrative and business process integration efforts related to ordering activities.
• Maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and process guides.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance ordering efficiency and customer experience.
• Support program leadership with scheduling, coordination, and reporting activities.
$23/hr to $28/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
