Security Control Assessor
Bethesda, MD · On-site · Active TS/SCI with CI Poly required
Independent Security Control Assessor supporting authorization and defensive cyber work in a high-side environment.
What you’ll do
Run Security Control Assessments on systems, networks, and cloud environments
Test controls against ICD 503, CNSSI 1253, NIST RMF, and NIST SP 800-53
Scan and analyze vulnerabilities; write up risk and residual risk
Produce SARs and other A&A artifacts; brief and defend findings to government stakeholders
Support IV&V, continuous monitoring, and authorization recommendations
Must have
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
Currently working as an SCA (or SCAR) — independent assessments, not only ISSO / package support
At least one recent year of SCA work
Cloud assessment experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar)
DoD 8570 IAT III: CASP+, CISA, CISSP, CCSP, GCED, GCIH, or CCNP Security
Bachelor’s in a technical field, or extra SCA/DCO years in place of the degree
Nice to have
IC or DoD mission systems (Bethesda / NCR)
ACAS, Nessus, SCAP, STIG Viewer, eMASS or Xacta
MITRE ATT&CK / DCO background
Local to the DMV preferred. No relocation.
